Happy New Year and Egg-in-a-Bag

 Happy New Year

to all my faithful readers!

Same place as 12 years ago. Similar sunset. Always gorgeous.

May this year be better in many ways,
even when it does not necessarily look like it right now
with surging Covid-19 cases.

Today we were invited for New Year's first breakfast.
The morning was cool, and windy,
but not too bad to sit outside and enjoy some company.
The meal announced was
"Egg-in-the-bag".
Quite curious as to what that would be we arrived at 10am (10:00)
and soon everyone was busy making their own bags.

It is really simple.

Grab a Ziplock bag, (don't forget to mark it with your name)
crack in 2 eggs into it (more will not work),
fill with all kind of good stuff :
(diced peppers, mushrooms, browned hamburger meat, cheese, whatever you like)

Seal the bag and mash/mix the content really well.
Squeeze out as much air as you manage (otherwise it will explode),
before hanging the bag into boiling water
for 15 minutes.
(Less time will and the egg is still runny).

Voilà! A ready made omelette.

Slide it on your plate and add hash-browns if you like.

Delicious.

If you want more - just repeat the whole process.

Should you have second thoughts about plastic, it is not harmful when done only once.

Most important thing was that we had much fun!

Thanks to Fredo, Joan and Dale for organizing our get-together.

(klein gehackte Paprika, gebratenes Hackfleisch, Pilze, Käse, usw)
